Three paths shape Coen's combat style
Coen develops through three ability paths: Vampirism, Swordmastery and Witchcraft. They are connected by one shared experience bar and the same pool of skill points, allowing a build to draw from more than one path.
Vampirism
Vampirism is available at night. Its abilities draw on Coen's vampiric nature and connect progression to feeding and corruption.
Swordmastery
Swordmastery works in both day and night. It supports Coen's direct martial options and develops through swordsmanship manuals.
Witchcraft
Witchcraft is available during the day. The official overview describes offensive, defensive and control tools, plus damage-over-time effects and buffs or debuffs.
XP becomes shared skill points
The game awards experience for defeating enemies and stronger creatures, completing quests, discovering hidden places and secrets, and taking part in special encounters and boss fights. When the shared experience bar reaches a new level, Coen gains skill points.
Skills need knowledge, points and time
Swordmastery manuals
Soldiers and bandits can leave swordsmanship manuals behind, and swordmasters can sell them. These manuals support Swordmastery progression.
Witchcraft manuals
Magic manuals can be found in ruins and haunted locations or bought from spellcasters. They support access to Witchcraft skills.
Vampiric growth
Vampirism develops through feeding and rising corruption. Skill unlocking and upgrades also require skill points and in-game time.
